We are a family-owned machine tool manufacturer, proudly in business since 1936, and we're looking for a motivated, mechanically skilled Machine Builder to join our team. What You'll Do As a Machine Builder, you'll play a key role in building and supporting high-quality broaching machines from start to finish—owning your work and contributing to a team committed to excellence: Disassemble and assemble machines, tooling, and automation from mechanical drawings Install ways, rails and fixtures Dial machines in, align machines Set up machines and perform tool setting with precision and attention to detail Collaborate closely with engineering, fluid power, and electrical teams—communicating openly to solve problems and improve outcomes Perform machine quality run-offs while working directly with customers, delivering service that exceeds expectations Travel to customer sites for machine installation, startup, training, and service (approx. 15% travel, domestic and international) Provide field service support, troubleshooting, and repairs with urgency and professionalism Assist other manufacturing departments as needed, contributing wherever the team needs support What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, brings a positive attitude, and is committed to continuous improvement: Prior machine assembly, maintenance experience, or strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and indicators down to .0001" or better Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics and drawings Basic knowledge of machiningand skill set to confidently use tool room and fabrication equipment . Strong problem-solving skills with a "be part of the solution" mindset Willingness to travel and provide exceptional customer service A team-first attitude—easy to work with, dependable, and accountable High integrity: honest, reliable, and committed to doing things the right way Must have industry-relevant tools and reliable transportation Nice to
Have:
Experience with welding Overhead crane operation Forklift operation Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (associate technical degree preferred) Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Schedule Monday-Friday:
