This position is ideal for a skilled, dependable mechanic who takes pride in building high-quality machinery and is comfortable working from mechanical drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions. Responsibilities Assemble a wide variety of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment Build machines and subassemblies from engineering drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials Fit, align, and install mechanical components, bearings, shafts, motors, gear reducers, and related equipment Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly and fit-up issues Work efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality and reliability Coordinate with other assemblers, machinists, engineers, and production personnel Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Requirements Minimum 3 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing, machine-building, or similar industrial environment Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and bills of materials Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Dependable, motivated, and able to manage work with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Preferred Qualifications Experience assembling industrial machinery or custom equipment Electrical wiring or controls experience Experience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, and rotating equipment Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for equipment installation or service Franklin Miller offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan.
