Job Summary:
The CNC Assistant (Off Loader) supports the fabric cutting operation by removing, sorting, inspecting, counting, and organizing cut fabric parts. This position works closely with the Lectra Operator and Lay-Up personnel to maintain production flow, quality, and accuracy.
Requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Remove cut fabric parts from the Lectra machine and separate usable pieces from scrap. Sort and organize multiple layers of cut fabric according to patterns and production requirements. Number and mark parts accurately using a crayon, pattern, or other approved method. Inspect parts for accuracy, proper cuts, and adherence to patterns. Count and stack parts to ensure accuracy, uniformity, and proper job identification. Read and understand production tickets, cover labels, and patterns. Identify and report missing, defective, or incorrectly cut parts. Assist the Lectra Operator and Lay-Up personnel as needed. Remove fabric waste and debris from the machine and dispose of it properly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures. Candidate:
Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to read and understand tickets, labels, and patterns. Ability to count, sort, and organize materials accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous manufacturing, textile, upholstery, or fabric-cutting experience preferred but not required.
