Job Title:
Finishing Associate / Finishing Machine Associate (Night Shift)
Location:
West Henrietta, NY Summary:
Nesco Resource is seeking detail-oriented Finishing Associates / Finishing Machine Associates to support optical filter manufacturing operations in West Henrietta, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity provides candidates with the chance to build a long-term career in precision manufacturing while gaining hands-on experience in a clean, high-tech production environment . Working under the guidance of a Finishing Team Leader, associates will perform a variety of glass processing and finishing operations, inspect products, take precise measurements, and ensure finished components meet strict quality and production standards. This role is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and an interest in precision equipment and advanced manufacturing processes.
Pay Rate:
$18.00
  • $21.00/Hour (Based On Exp.) + 10% Shift Diff. ($19.80

  • 9:30 PM | Monday
  • Friday All New Employees Will Train From 5:00 AM
  • 1:30 PM OR 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM For Approx. 4

POTENTIAL FOR EXEMPTION
Job Duties:
Perform glass processing and finishing operations, including: Core drilling Dicing Laser marking Unwaxing Hand, semi-automatic, and automatic beveling Cleaning and other glass finishing processes Operate and assist with precision finishing and processing equipment Take precise physical and visual measurements using specialized tools and equipment Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met Identify nonconforming materials and place appropriate product holds Escalate production delays, defects, and quality concerns to leadership Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Collaborate with team members to meet daily production, quality, and schedule requirements Support manufacturing schedules and productivity expectations Perform repetitive precision tasks while maintaining consistent quality and accuracy
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Basic computer proficiency Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to read, understand, and follow technical work instructions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination Good visual acuity and ability to distinguish color and quality variations Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-registered facility Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with glass processing, glass substrate processing, or optical manufacturing Experience with cleaning, finishing, or product inspection Machine shop experience or familiarity with precision manufacturing equipment Experience operating dicing equipment or similar machinery Familiarity with subjective quality systems used in optical product inspection Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
