Job Overview:

This position is responsible for the safe handling, hanging, grinding,prepping/washing, powder coating, and proper tagging of parts processed through the powder coat booth. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Select the correct color and coating for each job and part Grinding welds to smooth finish Hang, prep, and wash all parts prior to coating Powder coat parts according to specifications and standards Inspect powder coating for coverage, quality, and proper mil thickness Complete manufactured equipment checklists to ensure all parts are ready for assembly Accurately tag completed work with required information Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and other equipment as required Verify part quality against drawings/specifications and count parts accurately Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required; Vo-Tech/Trade School preferred

Experience:

1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and bend for the entire shift Lift up to 50 lbs as needed Work in environments with loud noise (hearing protection may be required) Use of PPE for handling sheet metal and coating chemicals Repetitive motion and manual tasks Ability to communicate effectively with team members
