Do you enjoy mindless, monotonous tasks that seem to never end ? Do you find satisfaction in doing the same basic thing over and over again until a scratched piece of plastic finally looks perfect? Do you have the rare ability to stay focused on repetitive work without checking your phone every 90 seconds? Great. We may have the job for you. We need someone to polish acrylic. That means taking clear plastic that currently looks like somebody attacked it with sandpaper and making it look like glass.

The good news:

you get to sit down while doing it, in an air-conditioned environment . So yes, the work may be repetitive enough to make you question the passage of time, but at least you won't be doing it outside in Florida in August.

You will be expected to:

Show up when you are scheduled. Actually work while you are at work. Do repetitive work for long stretches without slowly losing your mind. Know the difference between "good enough" and actually finished . Use polishing equipment without launching parts across the shop. Notice scratches before somebody else has to point at them. Work with your hands. Put your phone down occasionally and interact with the physical world. Experience polishing acrylic, plastics, fiberglass, automotive finishes, metal, or similar materials is a huge plus. If you have no experience but are mechanically competent, pay attention, learn quickly, and can follow instructions without requiring a daily hostage negotiation, we can work with that. You should probably not apply if: "On time" means within 20 minutes. Your phone requires constant emotional support. You disappear into the bathroom for 35 minutes several times a day. Every previous employer was somehow the problem. You need someone standing behind you to remain productive. Monday mornings routinely surprise you. You believe "I didn't know what else to do" is a complete sentence. Repetition makes you immediately start looking for a new career. We're a small shop. That means everybody matters. When somebody does their job well, everybody notices. When somebody doesn't do their job, everybody also notices. We make high-quality parts and we expect high-quality work.
