Full Job Description Job Title:
Door Shop Pre-Finisher Pay Rate:
$20/hr. based on experience.
Schedule :
Monday - Friday. 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. OT available
Job Description:
Job includes but is not limited to: Sanding and fixing imperfections of product to get the best paint finish. Will need to maintain the shop and paint equipment to ensure they stay in good condition. Will need to prepare the product going to the painter. Will need to paint and stain the product. Will need to be able to operate and safely handle a multitude of air powered tools, and electric saws. Will need to have the capability and knowledge necessary to use measuring tools; such as a tape measure, and templates to insure accuracy. Would participate in all stages of assembling millwork product; and packaging of the finished product for shipment. Will be responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly. Report any damaged or inaccurate material immediately so a replacement can be pulled for the order. Must be a detail oriented person who has the ability to pay close attention to detail.
Physical Requirements Job Functions:
The ability to read and follow printed or digital information and instructions to assure that the various products are assembled to specifications.
Equipment:
Must be able to handle and maneuver multiple sizes and weights of air powered tools. Will also use painter and other equipment. Tape measures and templates will also be used to ensure an accurate measurement of product for assembly. The ability to perform job duties while wearing and using any safety equipment such as safety glasses, non-slip hard soled puncture resistant shoes and any other equipment deemed necessary.
Work Conditions:
The ability to perform job activities, with appropriate intermittent relief where applicable, under difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, while exposed to constant and intermittent sounds.
Manual Dexterity:
The ability to make quick accurate, skillful, coordinated movements of one hand, one hand in coordination with its arm, or two hands to grasp, place, move, or assemble objects for orders. Must have the ability to use eye hand coordination to operate the tools safely with repetitive motion throughout a workday.
Lifting Capabilities:
Possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multiple times daily without assistance. Or up to 100 pounds with assistance. Required method is to have a partner or use available tools for any object over 50 pounds.
Positioning:
Must be able to spend extended periods of time on their feet while moving and bending to assemble the product to specification.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND Prior Experience in construction or an assembly line environment
Preferred Qualifications:
