This role is ideal for candidates with 1-2 years of experience in laboratory operations, agriculture, biology, quality control, or production environments who enjoy hands-on work and precise testing. As a Seed Quality Technician, you will support cottonseed quality control by collecting samples, performing laboratory tests, recording accurate data, and helping ensure products meet established quality standards. This opportunity offers a structured work environment, supportive QC leadership, teamwork across lab and production areas, and the chance to build valuable experience in agricultural quality testing and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Perform quality control testing on cottonseed, including moisture, temperature, seed count, genetic purity, pH, visual inspection, free fatty acid, and mechanical damage. Collect samples from trucks, warehouses, plant areas, and outdoor sampling stations, then accurately record, verify, and report test results. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions while performing repetitive laboratory and quality testing tasks. Operate laboratory and industrial equipment such as moisture meters, centrifuges, seed counters, hydraulic presses, ovens, autoclaves, pipettes, and vacuum samplers. Safely handle laboratory chemicals, seed treatments, cleaning solvents, and required PPE in compliance with safety expectations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment while assisting with additional quality control duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits Pay range:
$21 to $22 per hour.
Listed assignment pay rate:
$22 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Assignment type:
Temporary 1-year contract, with potential for temp-to-perm conversion.
Location:
Bapchule, AZ 85121. Overtime and Saturday work may be required during peak season, November through December.
