Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic food production team as a Peanut Plant Operator! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and packaging of peanuts while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your mechanical skills and culinary experience will contribute directly to delivering safe, delicious peanut products to consumers worldwide. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold our commitment to regulatory compliance and manufacturing excellence. Duties Operate machinery involved in the processing, roasting, shelling, and packaging of peanuts, ensuring smooth and safe production flow. Conduct routine inspections of equipment for mechanical issues, troubleshooting problems promptly to minimize downtime. Follow strict sanitation procedures, including cleaning equipment and work areas in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. Handle raw materials and finished products safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts, adhering to safety protocols and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements. Assist with food preparation tasks that require knife skills or culinary knowledge to ensure product quality and consistency. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including batch records, safety logs, and quality control reports. Support compliance with all regulatory and legal standards governing food production, including safety standards in manufacturing environments. Experience Prior experience in food production, manufacturing, or a kitchen environment with familiarity in food handling and processing is highly desirable. Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to operate and maintain manufacturing equipment safely. Knowledge of sanitation procedures, HACCP protocols, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and GMP standards within a food industry setting. Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, adjusting recipes, or recording data accurately. Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or other machinery used in heavy lifting and transportation within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with safety standards related to food safety management and personal protective equipment use. Culinary experience or knife skills that support food preparation tasks are a plus but not mandatory.
