Part Time Conservation Technician The Robert E Lee Soil and Water Conservation District is hiring a Part Time Conservation Technician serving Appomattox, Amherst and Campbell Co and the City of Lynchburg. This position will focus on providing technical support for implementing agriculture cost-share programs with farmers. Applicants should be comfortable working with farmers and have prior experience with the Virginia Agricultural Cost Share Program. We are seeking a candidate with current DCR Engineering Job Approval Authority and DCR Conservation Planner Certification. The ideal candidate would have a valid driver's license, the ability to walk long distances over uneven terrane, communicate effectively, and the ability to work independently. This position is located in Appomattox Co and is 16 to 24 hours per week. A hybrid and/or flexible schedule would be considered.
