FF&E Design & Coordination

Job Description

Design Culture (What It's Like Here) We're a collaborative team that values both thoughtful design and flawless execution. We appreciate the creativity that inspires a project, but we also understand that success often comes down to the details—product knowledge, coordination, follow-through, and strong relationships. We spend our days exploring ideas, looking at interesting work, and engaging in real design dialogue with each other and our clients. It's a relaxed, engaging environment where good work happens—and by Friday afternoons, the pace naturally lightens as we wrap up the week. The Role This is a furniture-focused design and project coordination role for someone who enjoys translating design vision into detailed, executable FF&E solutions. You'll play a key role in shaping furniture, fixture, and equipment packages that align with design intent, client goals, budget requirements, and functional performance. Working alongside architects, interior designers, project managers, clients, and dealer partners, you'll support projects from early furniture planning and specification through procurement, delivery, and installation. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial interiors or furniture dealership environments who combines a passion for design with exceptional attention to detail and project coordination skills. What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial interiors, FF&E design, furniture specification, or furniture dealership environments
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, CET, CAP, Worksheet, or other furniture specification tools is a plus
  • Interior Design degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of finish applications, ergonomics, workplace planning, and commercial environments
  • Strong knowledge of commercial furniture manufacturers, product applications, and specification processes
  • Experience developing furniture packages from concept through installation
  • Understanding of procurement, order management, warehousing, delivery, and installation workflows
  • Ability to interpret design vision and translate it into practical, well-coordinated furniture solutions
  • Strong budgeting, pricing, and vendor coordination experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to jump in wherever the team needs support Ability to work in-person Monday-Friday in Chandler, AZ Willingness to travel nationally (5-6 trips per year) What You'll Do
  • Develop furniture, fixture, and equipment packages that align with project goals, budget, and design intent
  • Create and manage furniture specifications, budgets, finish selections, and product schedules
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend furniture solutions that balance aesthetics, performance, lead time, and cost
  • Coordinate with architects, interior designers, manufacturers, dealers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support procurement efforts, including pricing requests, product evaluation, substitutions, and order coordination
  • Review furniture plans and layouts for functionality, efficiency, and compliance with project requirements
  • Track and coordinate furniture orders, deliveries, warehousing, and installation activities
  • Assist project teams with finish selections, sample procurement, and furniture presentations
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines, emerging workplace trends, and commercial furniture solutions
  • Cultivate relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and vendor partners to support project execution and long-term business objectives
  • Contribute to furniture standards, specification libraries, and internal FF&E resources Why This Role Is Different Most FF&E roles focus exclusively on either design selection or procurement.
This role brings both together. You'll have a seat at the table during design discussions while also playing a key role in ensuring furniture solutions are properly specified, purchased, delivered, and installed. You'll help align design aspirations with real-world considerations like budget, performance, lead times, and operational needs. You'll also help strengthen our network of dealer and manufacturing partners, influence furniture standards across projects, and become a trusted resource for both design teams and clients.
