We are looking for more than general labor. Our goal is to find someone who can grow with the company and eventually become a trusted second-in-command in the shop. We build custom bus conversions from the ground up. Because of the nature of our work, this position involves a wide variety of construction and fabrication tasks and requires someone who enjoys learning, building and solving problems. Previous bus conversion experience is not required . Responsibilities Assist with construction of custom bus conversions Carpentry, framing and cabinetry Demolition and project preparation Flooring installation Wall and ceiling installation Finish carpentry and trim work Installation of cabinetry, fixtures and components Measure, cut and assemble building materials Assist contractors and specialty trades as needed Load, unload and organize materials Maintain a clean, safe and organized shop Help identify and troubleshoot problems during builds Take ownership of assigned tasks and see them through to completion Assist with keeping projects moving efficiently Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Is dependable and punctual Has a strong work ethic Takes pride in the quality of their work Is comfortable using hand and power tools Can accurately read a tape measure Has good attention to detail Enjoys problem-solving Is willing and excited to learn new skills Can take direction and eventually work independently Takes initiative instead of always waiting for the next instruction Is comfortable working in a small-business environment where everyone helps where needed Wants increased responsibility as their skills develop Experience in carpentry, cabinetry, construction, remodeling, RV repair, automotive work, fabrication or similar hands-on trades is preferred but not required. Growth Opportunity This position has significant room for growth. Our goal is to develop the right person into someone who understands our construction process, can independently handle portions of builds, assists with keeping projects on schedule and eventually helps lead work in the shop. As skills, responsibility and contribution to the company increase, there will be opportunities for increased compensation and advancement. Compensation $20-$26/hour depending on experience Pay increases will be considered as skills, independence and responsibilities increase.
