Our story - Peruvian Connection About the Role The Repairs Specialist is responsible for restoring apparel and accessories to brand standards through expert garment repair techniques. This role focuses on identifying damage, performing stain removal, replacing buttons and trims, executing sewing and knitting repairs, reattaching or replacing labels, and completing other restoration tasks as needed. The specialist works closely with the Technical Design Department, the US Warehouse, and Customer Service to evaluate repair needs, determine appropriate methods, and ensure each item is returned in its best possible condition. Precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of garment construction are essential to maintaining product integrity and supporting customer satisfaction. By delivering consistent, high‑quality repairs, the Repairs Specialist helps preserve inventory value and reinforces trust in the brand's commitment to quality. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience in garment repair, alterations, tailoring, or related textile work Proficiency with hand‑sewing, machine‑sewing, knitting repairs, and basic stain‑removal techniques Ability to work with small tools and sewing equipment safely and effectively Strong attention to detail and ability to assess repair needs accurately Preferred Qualifications Formal training in apparel construction, tailoring, or textile repair Experience working in a retail, warehouse, or customer‑service‑driven environment Familiarity with inventory systems or repair tracking processes Ability to read and interpret garment construction notes or technical specifications Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams Responsibilities Assess garments and accessories for damage, wear, or quality issues Perform stain removal, button replacement, sewing and knitting repairs, label replacement, and other restoration tasks Ensure all repairs meet brand quality standards and maintain the integrity of the original design Maintain accurate records of repairs completed and materials used Manage repair supplies, trims, and tools to ensure readiness and organization Continuously refine repair techniques and stay informed on garment construction methods Skills The Repairs Specialist relies on strong technical skills in sewing, knitting, stain removal, and garment construction to restore products effectively. Attention to detail ensures repairs are clean, precise, and aligned with brand standards. Problem‑solving skills support accurate diagnosis of damage and selection of the best repair method. Clear communication with internal teams helps maintain workflow transparency, while organizational skills support efficient tracking of repairs, materials, and timelines.
