Job Description

Job Overview The Hook-Up is Buffalo's premier specialized freestanding furniture assembly firm. We partner with high-integrity, precision-driven independent technicians to deliver seamless, white-glove services across the region. If you are a skilled, independent specialist who takes pride in your craft and demands top-tier compensation with zero administrative friction, we invite you to join our professional scheduling pipeline. We manage all back-end corporate logistics so you can focus entirely on your builds. Our team handles client acquisition, marketing, digital billing, and scheduling setups prior to your arrival. Duties Assemble furniture items such as cabinets, beds, dressers, desks, and other household or commercial furnishings according to provided instructions and specifications Interpret assembly instructions to ensure precise free standing furniture assembly Use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks Ensure all furniture is assembled securely, level, and aligned properly for safe use and aesthetic appeal Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials during projects and after completion Communicate effectively regarding progress or any issues encountered during assembly Follow safety protocols related to power tool operation, heavy lifting, and other furniture assembly-related activities All packaging and trash must be broken down and placed cleanly in the client's on-site recycling bins. Items must be assembled exactly in the room where they are placed. Moving furniture between rooms is not included. No structural wall-mounting, drilling, or anchoring is permitted. Requirements Proven experience in furniture assembly or related construction fields such as carpentry, remodeling, or handyman work (Preferred) Must own a comprehensive assembly tool kit (including an impact driver, rubber mallet, and socket sets). Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding furniture assembly plans Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers) and power tools Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during assembly projects Knowledge of site safety practices including power tool safety Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Reliable transportation to various job sites Active, reliable smartphone for mandatory pre- and post-job check-ins with operations management. Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
