Full Job Description Sweet Modern is a vintage furniture store and restoration shop located in Akron, OH. We are looking for an experienced workworker / refinisher to join our workshop crew in restoring fine furniture. Job duties include but are not limited to: Disassembly, inspection, and identification of problems with pieces Sanding solid wood and veneered furniture Gluing loose joints and making repairs Fabricating and replacing missing or broken parts Applying oils and stains Applying spray lacquer toner and clear coats Addressing minor issues with touch-up tools (markers, pencils, etc.) Lifting and moving furniture Helping to keep the shop area tidy We seek individuals that: Have at least five years of experience in woodworking and refinishing Have an eye for detail and respect for quality workmanship Are handy and have hands-on experience with tools and wood repairs Are organized and can manage deadlines on a variety of projects at the same time

Full-time Pay:

$20.00 – $24.00 per hour
