Ballooms in Color, LLC is a premier provider of bespoke balloon installations for events of all kinds. We are seeking a Part-Time Balloon Stylist & Delivery Installer who combines artistic flair with a commitment to impeccable customer service. This dynamic role involves both the creation of eye-catching balloon sculptures and the logistical management of delivering and installing these intricate designs at various event locations throughout Austin and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is creative, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Balloon Stylist Responsibilities:
Design & Creation:
Utilize creativity to design and assemble balloon installations, including arches, columns, numbers, letters, centerpieces, and custom balloon sculptures in accordance with client specifications.
Balloon Arrangement:
Create visually striking balloon bouquets, garlands, and thematic arrangements tailored to event types ranging from weddings and corporate functions to birthday celebrations and grand openings.
Client Collaboration:
Work closely with clients, understanding their vision to deliver personalized and unique designs that exceed expectations.
Quality Control:
Maintain the highest standards of quality in balloon creation, ensuring that all sculptures and designs are crafted with precision and durability.
Delivery Installer Responsibilities:
Transport & Logistics:
Safely and efficiently transport balloon structures, equipment, and materials to event venues, ensuring timely delivery and installation. Handle all materials with care to prevent damage during transit.
On-Site Installation:
Coordinate with the Site Manager and event teams to assemble and install balloon displays on-site, adhering to the specific layout and design plans provided. Ensure that installations are executed to perfection, leaving a lasting impression.
Breakdown & Cleanup:
Assist in dismantling balloon structures post-event and ensure that all materials are properly packed and transported back to the company's location in good condition.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, conducting regular inspections to ensure they are in top condition. Promptly report any issues or incidents involving vehicles to the Site Manager.
Team Collaboration:
Coordination:
Work in tandem with the Team Lead and Site Manager to ensure seamless event execution. Communicate effectively regarding timelines, design requirements, and any challenges encountered.
Client Interaction:
Represent the company professionally at all times when interacting with clients and event staff, addressing any on-site concerns or adjustments with grace and efficiency.
Compensation Austin:
Balloon Styling Services:
$11 per hour
Delivery & Breakdown Services:
$16 per hour 6 weeks of paid training at $10 per hour
Tips:
Employees are eligible to receive tips from clients, which are discretionary and based on service quality. Tips are distributed biweekly if pooled through the company, or kept directly if received from clients. Tips vary but they average to be about $180 biweekly.
Work Schedule:
This position offers flexible, part-time hours based on the company's needs and event schedule. The role requires availability for day shift, evening, weekends, and occasional holiday shifts, as dictated by event bookings. We are looking for 2 people who are available Monday and Tuesday as well as Fri-Sun. Employees must be adaptable and able to work under tight deadlines to ensure successful event setups.
Requirements:
Experience:
Prior experience in event design, balloon artistry, or related creative fields is preferred but not required. Hands-on training will be provided.
Skills:
A keen eye for design, creativity, and attention to detail are essential. Strong organizational and time management skills are critical for managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), work on your feet for extended periods, and handle the physical demands of balloon installation and event setup.
Driving Requirements:
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Previous experience in delivery or logistics is a plus. Employees must be able to adhere to safety regulations and company policies related to vehicle use.

Company Credit Card Use:
Employees may be issued a company credit card for fuel and vehicle-related expenses. Proper documentation and timely submission of receipts are required.
