Description Accountability:

The Aligner installs precision parts in the machine tool bed casting. Including units, ball screws, and linear guides.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Inspect and clean casting.
Install precision parts on machined casting.
Verify parallel of linear guides and ball screws.
Install precision units on machine tool.
Use precision instruments to check geometry of machine tool.
Operate overhead crane to install heavy items.
Operate walk behind fork truck to transport parts.
Operate overhead crane to move machine tool to different locations in the facility.

Education/Certification:

High school diploma.
Some College or Trade School preferred.

Skills:

Mechanical Aptitude
Experience with hand tools
Experience with power tools
Previous Crane and walk behind fork truck training.
Experience using precision instruments.
