Spanish and English are spoken at the jobsite. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) bridge saws to cut stone materials accurately according to blueprint specifications, as well as polishing and finishing stone countertops to achieve high-quality surfaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with premium materials, utilize advanced machinery, and contribute to creating beautiful, durable stone surfaces for our clients. Your expertise in fabrication, safety standards, and mechanical skills will be essential in delivering exceptional craftsmanship while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Duties Operate CNC bridge saws with precision, following detailed blueprints and measurements to cut stone slabs accurately. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to shape and refine stone surfaces during the polishing process. Perform dimensional measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other tools to ensure cuts meet specifications. Polish and finish stone countertops using specialized polishing equipment to achieve smooth, high-gloss surfaces. Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Handle heavy materials safely using forklifts or other heavy equipment while following proper materials handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Experience Prior experience operating CNC machinery such as bridge saws or similar fabrication equipment in stone or manufacturing industries. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, welding, machining, and millwork processes. Construction or manufacturing experience with a focus on materials handling, assembly, or heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with blueprint reading and following precise dimensional measurements for fabrication projects. Warehouse experience or background in heavy equipment operation. Basic math skills necessary for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including PPE use, safety regulations, and protocol adherence is essential.
