In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining band saws and CNC plasma cutting machines to produce precise metal components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production flow, high-quality outputs, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor band saws and CNC plasma cutting machines to ensure accurate cuts according to technical specifications and blueprints Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and blueprints to determine proper machine settings and cutting paths Program CNC plasma machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of machinery to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to all safety standards in production environments Collaborate with team members on materials handling, tooling setup, and quality control processes to meet production targets Requirements Proven experience operating band saws and CNC plasma cutting machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial equipment troubleshooting Ability to read mechanical blueprints accurately and perform shop math calculations for precise fabrication Experience with other manufacturing equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and fabricating tools is a plus Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical specifications Proficiency in using precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and understanding GD&T principles Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred for materials handling tasks Strong commitment to safety standards in production environments along with factory or manufacturing facility experience Basic math skills necessary for quality control checks and measurements; familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software is advantageous Join our team as a Band Saw & CNC Plasma Machine Operator if you're passionate about precision machining, thrive in a safety-conscious environment, and are eager to contribute your skills toward high-quality manufacturing!
