Depending on experience level (Level 1 to Level 3), operators perform tasks ranging from basic secondary operations to progressive tooling, setup support, and peer training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality & Compliance Understand and adhere to the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Integrated Management System (IMS) policies. Obtain required inspection forms, specifications, and instructions from Quality Control (QC). Perform in-process inspections as required and complete QA check sheets accurately. Report actual or potential product quality issues, press, or die problems immediately to the supervisor or QC. Stop production immediately when known or suspected non-conforming conditions exist. Maintain familiarity with

ISO 9001, ISO

14001, and

IATF 16949

system standards and procedures. Operations & Work Tracking Accurately log in/out and enter labor cards into Job Boss with minimal errors. Complete required production paperwork in a timely and legible manner. Follow specific packaging and labeling instructions per shop papers or established work instructions. Safety & Environmental Maintenance Adhere to all company policies, including Lock Out - Tag Out (LOTO) safety procedures. Maintain clean, safe, and organized housekeeping in all work areas.

LEVEL-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & PROGRESSION

Level 1 Operator Execute single stroke, tumbling, milling, and grinding operations. Understand basic equipment functions and perform work operations with minimal difficulty. Work closely under the guidance and direction of Level 2 and Level 3 operators. Level 2 Operator Perform progressive tooling operations (Same as Level 1 with progressive stamping additions). Start coil feeds with minimal assistance. Identify and recognize tooling and equipment sensor faults. Purge and operate die lubrication systems; clear scrap marks and tooling jams with minimal assistance. Operate value-added equipment in conjunction with progressive stamping (e.g., bowl feeders, Pem insertion, cross feeds). Reset equipment or request setup support as needed. Demonstrate familiarity with Lock Out - Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and work closely with Level 3 operators. Level 3 Operator Serve as a strong team leader with a positive attitude, leading by example. Perform all operator tasks independently with no assistance or supervision required. Able to train Level 1 and Level 2 employees effectively as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Required Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant environment

Physical Capability:

Ability to regularly lift up to 30-50 lbs

Communication Skills:

Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus

Teamwork & Conduct:

Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as a collaborative team member

Technical Preference:

Experience operating a Punch Press is a plus
