Responsibilities Personnel will sharpen, changeover, and maintain dies. Operate stamping press machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Inspect parts for conformance to specifications, visually or using gauges or templates, and may adjust machine to correct errors Follow established production/process specifications or instructions. Change dies and material coils as necessary. Perform manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, band, tie pack, and/or wrap containers with products and materials. Tally, weigh, stack, and arrange products and packed containers. Required Skills/Experience Minimum of two years in a similar position. Experience using surface grinders to sharpen Dies. Experience in setup and operation of stamping presses including auxiliary equipment related to the stamping press. Knowledge of blanking die layouts and clearances Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, fit, & repair die components Ability to compute numbers, widths, and angles of die components using micrometers, scales, and gauges Ability to operate manual surface grinder & dress grinding wheels as needed Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to communicate with supervisors and / or peers both in both written and verbal formats. Must be able to stand and / or sit for long periods of time. Knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
