Job Description
Position Summary Operate precision grinding equipment to machine components to tight tolerances while maintaining high quality, safety, and productivity standards in a heavy fabrication environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate surface and cylindrical grinders to produce parts to print specifications Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements Inspect parts during and after machining to ensure quality standards are met Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping Troubleshoot dimensional and surface finish issues Communicate with supervisors and quality teams on nonconforming parts Follow all safety procedures and shop standards Support production flow by meeting schedule and output requirements Experience / Qualifications 2+ years of grinding experience preferred (surface, OD/ID, or Blanchard) Ability to read blueprints and GD&T basics Strong attention to detail and quality mindset Experience in structural or heavy fabrication environments a plus Physical Demands Lift up to 50 lbs regularly Stand for extended periods Work in a fast-paced, industrial environment
