Job Description

Qualifications A High School diploma or the equivalent is required A valid motor vehicle driver's license with a proven safe driving record is required The ability to obtain a CDL-B driver's license and a fork truck driver's license is also required Other requirements include: mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and learn various computer systems, including MAXIMO Physical requirements include the ability to: push/pull 50 to 100 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Benefits The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 ($33.80) and progresses in accordance with the union contract Responsibilities The Stockhandler orders, receives, records, stores, prepackages, issues, and maintains adequate stock of material, equipment and supplies in the substation maintenance storeroom In addition, the employee may deliver materials to field locations and prepare materials for specific jobs Other duties include assisting with environmental issues, maintaining shop and yard cleanliness, performing weekly material inventories, and other duties as assigned Normal working hours for this position will be from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday unless otherwise assigned Individual filling this position will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime and will have storm restoration and emergency assignments Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location This is a union position, those with bargaining rights will be given first consideration, according to the bargaining agreement.
