Job Title:
Environmental Technician (Warehouse Associate)
Starting Pay:
$20-25/hr depending on experience
Location:
Germantown, WI Schedule- M-F 5am-1/2pm (5-10 hours of OT available) Environmental Technician - 6-Month Contract-to-Hire We are seeking an Environmental Technician for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing environmental services organization. This role supports hazardous and non-hazardous waste management operations within an industrial/manufacturing environment and offers strong long-term potential. Responsibilities Perform hazardous and non-hazardous waste pickups and material movement throughout the facility Support chemical segregation, packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation activities Conduct routine inspections and inventories of waste accumulation areas Assist with loading/unloading waste containers and tanker operations Prepare and maintain waste documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Safely handle hazardous materials while utilizing required PPE Support compliance with OSHA, DOT, RCRA, and company safety procedures Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients regarding waste management activities Provide support to onsite environmental program leadership as needed Requirements High school diploma and 2+ years of related experience or relevant military background Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Comfortable working in PPE and handling hazardous materials Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship Must be able to pass background screening, drug testing, and motor vehicle screening Preferred Qualifications
HAZWOPER
24- or 40-hour certification Prior customer service experience Interest in obtaining a CDL Flexibility to work occasional non-standard schedules This position offers hands-on environmental field experience with the opportunity to transition into a long-term role. #TPGSJ
