CNC Machinist - Senior Level

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist to set up, operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate can interpret technical drawings, follow work instructions, troubleshoot machining issues, and work effectively with engineers, programmers, project managers, and production team members. Key Responsibilities Review blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, plans, and other job-related documentation to determine machining requirements. Enter and verify CNC machine instructions and programs based on specifications provided by the CNC programmer.

Set up CNC machines with the appropriate tools, fixtures, attachments, materials, and components required for each job. Operate CNC equipment safely and efficiently while monitoring machine performance and production quality. Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as needed to maintain accuracy and production requirements. Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and programming issues and work with programmers or engineering personnel to resolve problems. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Perform routine cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of CNC machinery and related equipment. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and established operating procedures. Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records. Collaborate with CNC programmers, engineers, project managers, quality personnel, and other team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Previous experience operating and setting up CNC machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Knowledge of CNC machine operations, tooling, fixtures, and basic machining processes. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Commitment to quality, safety, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay:
$25.00 - $31.25 per hour
