Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting CNC Setup Machinists for direct-hire opportunities with an aerospace manufacturer in Lake Orion. The company performs primarily 5-axis milling and is hiring machinists at multiple experience levels. Candidates with strong 3-axis machining experience and some exposure to 5-axis are encouraged to apply, along with experienced 5-axis machinists. What You'll Do Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling equipment Work with NC Programmers to establish tooling setups and validate programs Machine tooling, details and components according to blueprints and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances and GD&T Make necessary offsets and program adjustments Inspect work using precision measuring equipment Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain quality requirements What We're Looking For Previous CNC machining and setup experience Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis milling Strong 3-axis machinists with some 5-axis exposure will be considered Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controller experience preferred Ability to read blueprints and GD&T Strong precision measurement and shop math skills Comfortable working overtime and occasional weekends as needed Experience That Will Stand Out 5-axis milling experience Heidenhain controller experience Large-format CNC machining experience Parpas machine experience Aerospace tooling or component machining experience Compensation & Benefits Up to $38/hour based on experience Direct hire Overtime opportunities Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and HSA medical plans Delta Dental and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Typically two weeks of vacation offered at hire This position requires access to information subject to ITAR.
