Job Description

Automotive Machinist Put your automotive machining skills to work! As an Automotive Machinist, you ll play an important role in delivering quality workmanship and helping customers get the parts and service they need. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and working with a variety of automotive machining equipment. You ll work as part of a knowledgeable shop team, completing machining and reconditioning work to customer specifications while maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional work environment. What You ll Do Recondition and machine a variety of automotive components, including cylinder heads and connecting rods Perform or assist with crankshaft, valve, and flywheel grinding Install valve seats, helicoils, sleeves, and valve guides according to customer specifications Operate a variety of shop equipment, including drills, lathes, mills, and other machining tools Perform hydraulic hose repairs and other miscellaneous shop services as needed Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to customer specifications Work closely with customers and team members to understand job requirements and complete work accurately and efficiently Assist other team members as needed to support daily shop and store operations Contribute to team sales goals and the overall success of the store What We re Looking For At least one year of post-secondary technical training in Automotive Machining Minimum of two years of automotive machining experience Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work professionally with customers, vendors, coworkers, and leadership Familiarity with automotive machine shop and store operating procedures Valid driver s license and acceptable driving record What We Offer We invest in our people and provide benefits that support you at work and at home.
