Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, manual machining, and blueprint interpretation will ensure that products meet the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders, ensuring precise execution of machining processes Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM programming software like Fanuc controls for efficient production runs Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments for quality control Conduct machine setup and calibration to ensure optimal performance and adherence to tolerances Utilize manual machining tools such as hand tools, grinders, and power tools for finishing or troubleshooting when necessary Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, grinding, and machine operation Assist with tooling selection, setup, and maintenance to maximize machine efficiency and product quality Requirements Proven experience in CNC machining including CNC lathe and milling machine operation with proficiency in CNC G-code programming and Fanuc controls Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation of mechanical blueprints with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality inspections Knowledge of manufacturing processes including metal machining, plastics injection molding, welding, and grinding techniques Ability to perform manual machining tasks using hand tools and power tools with attention to detail Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately Familiarity with CAM software for programming CNC machines and SolidWorks or CAD software for design review or modifications Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and process adjustments Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling Commitment to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency Join our team if you're passionate about precision engineering and eager to develop your skills in a collaborative environment that values innovation.
