Sawmill Supervisor / Plant Manager Job Summary The Sawyer is responsible for operating specialized saws and machinery to cut and shape wood materials to exact specifications. This is an entry-level role, and full hands-on training will be provided. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Key Responsibilities

• Operate saws and cutting machinery to process raw materials into finished timber products.
• Read and interpret work orders and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and inspect materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on saws and equipment.
• Identify and learn to distinguish various species of hardwood timber.
• Report equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with material storage and inventory as directed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals. Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments preferred but not required. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the workday.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, and dusty environments.
• Must be available for overtime, weekends, and shift work as required by production schedules.
• Able to pass a drug test.

Pay:

$18.00 - $35.00 per hour
