Job Description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Lead for a plastic bag manufacturing facility in Ontario, CA. This is a temp-to-hire evening position paying $21.00/hr. In this role, you will set up blown film extrusion lines, execute order changeovers, and verify that the correct raw materials are staged for each production run. This is a hands-on lead position working a steady Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends.

Manufacturing Plant / Factory Responsibilities Read and interpret production work orders to determine line setup requirements and material specifications for each order. Perform order changeovers on blown film lines, adjusting settings and tooling as required. Inspect finished film for quality defects and report any issues to the supervisor. Alert plant manager and supervisors of potential quality problems or raw material shortages before they affect production. Clean assigned line areas and general plant facilities as part of shift duties. Identify and report safety hazards to supervisors immediately. Minimum Requirements 1-2 years of experience setting up blown film lines or related blown film extrusion equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multi-layer blown film lines or coextrusion equipment. Familiarity with polyethylene (PE), LLDPE, LDPE, or HDPE resins used in film production. Experience performing quality checks such as gauge measurement, seal integrity, or visual film inspection. Ability to follow ISO or documented quality system procedures and work instructions. Experience in a high-volume plastics, film, or flexible packaging manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret production work orders and quality system documentation. Pre-Employment Requirements Steel-toe boots required (employee-provided). Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift in a manufacturing plant environment. Benefits Weekly pay.
