Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial. Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of manufacturing machine operator experience Minimum 2 years of complex mechanical experience Experience with machine setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting Complex motor vehicle repair experience (personal or professional) may be considered in place of machine operator experience Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred Previous lamination, packaging, or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required Willing to learn and train in a manufacturing environment Job Duties Operate slitting machinery safely and efficiently Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production requirements Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments Measure materials accurately using a standard ruler to 1/16th of an inch Monitor product quality and production output Move and handle large rolls of materials using equipment Follow ISO standards and company quality procedures Complete production documentation and reports as required Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety policies and procedures Preferred Qualifications Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred. Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Slitter Machine Operator. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 65 pounds. Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
