Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Role Summary Our expanding manufacturing department is looking for a dependable Machine Operator I. You will be tasked with configuring and running automated wire-cutting machinery, ensuring all output aligns with precise quality benchmarks and technical specifications. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a mechanical mindset, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to handle production tools and precise measurements with ease. Core Duties Configure and manage automated wire cutting and stripping systems Adhere strictly to established production guidelines and process documentation Replace components such as blades, guide tubes, and rollers when necessary Ensure material accuracy by utilizing tape measures or rulers Support efficient production by monitoring equipment to reduce waste Organize, bundle, and tally completed items Verify product quality to identify and prevent defects Analyze and comprehend technical production drawings Document all relevant production data Resolve minor equipment malfunctions to keep the line moving Promote a secure and orderly environment by maintaining a clean workspace Adapt to changing production demands by rotating between various workstations Required Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in reading a ruler with high accuracy Capability to execute both spoken and written directives Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Foundational math skills, specifically regarding fractions High level of focus on small details Natural mechanical inclination Capacity for consistent, repetitive production tasks Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting Completion of high school or an equivalent credential Desired Experience Competence in interpreting process documentation Prior background in manufacturing or operating machinery Experience working with automated production systems Familiarity with inspection tools like micrometers or calipers Physical Demands Standing for long durations during the shift Executing repetitive manual tasks with hands Lifting and transporting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly Lifting and transporting items weighing up to 50 lbs on occasion Bending, reaching, kneeling, and pushing or pulling as the job requires Key Proficiencies Resolving equipment issues General troubleshooting techniques Mechanical system diagnostics Hand metrology and precision measurement Quality inspection and precision measurement Setting up machines for production cycles Strong verbal and written communication Applied shop mathematics Interpreting blueprints
