Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sawyer to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently cutting and processing wood materials to meet production specifications, ensuring high-quality millwork products. Your expertise in woodworking machines, safety standards, and technical measurements will contribute to smooth operations and exceptional craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment and develop your skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to precision and safety. Duties Operate saws, woodworking machines, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to cut wood materials according to technical drawings and specifications Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices to perform precise cuts and measurements in millwork production Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocols during machine operation and material handling, preventing accidents and ensuring a safe work environment Conduct routine maintenance on saws and woodworking machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity Handle wood materials carefully, including loading, unloading, stacking, and organizing stock for efficient workflow Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery such as saws, and other cutting equipment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, tape measures, and other measuring instruments for precision work Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments related to sawmill production and woodworking operations Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements Familiarity with wood materials used in millwork applications including softwoods and hardwoods Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus but not mandatory Prior sawmill production experience or woodworking machine operation is highly desirableJoin our team as a Sawyer if you're passionate about craftsmanship, safety-conscious work practices, and eager to develop your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment!
Pay:
$25.87 - $31.16 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
