Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Learn to read job specification sheet and determine the correct product specifications, such as pellet appearance.
- Learn extruder startup, production, and shut down procedures.
- Manage department paperwork in regards to raw material consumption and production of prime product.
- Monitor all necessary quality checks and ensure product quality is maintained.
- Develop skills to perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the department.
- Optimize product quality and productivity while controlling scrap levels.
- Any and all other duties, as assigned by the manager and/or designee.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. consistently throughout shift.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- A drive to succeed with a self-starter approach and a can-do, positive attitude.
Shift:
- 13-hour shifts, overnight.
