Day Shift | Monday-Friday | (On-site) Position Overview This role is responsible for building, repairing, and modifying aluminum blow molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling while maintaining extremely tight tolerances and production deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong machining experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work with a variety of materials, tools, and manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate machine shop equipment, including lathes, grinders, milling machines, and radial drill presses. Manufacture mold components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Maintain close tolerances and high-quality standards throughout the machining process. Assemble and disassemble molds using hand tools. Inspect molds, tools, and dies for defects, wear, or damage that may impact performance. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to construct, repair, or modify mold components. Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and other inspection instruments. Test and verify equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure proper setup and efficient operation. Support mold repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of mold making experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Experience operating conventional machining equipment and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of shop mathematics, tooling, and close-tolerance machining. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications Accredited Journeyman Mold Maker certification/background preferred but not required. Experience with aluminum molds and steel cutting operations.
