We are a manufacturing organization focused on high-volume production using automated molding systems. Our team values safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a Molding Automation Technician to support robotic automation and optimize molding processes.
Position Overview:
The Molding Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing molding automation systems, including robotic equipment and auxiliary devices. This role supports automated molding processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot molding automation systems, robots, conveyors, and sensorsRespond to alarms and equipment faults to minimize downtimeProgram and optimize molding robots (Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann)Modify robot paths to improve cycle time and part qualityPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipmentCalibrate sensors, actuators, and replace worn componentsSupport mold trials and new product launchesImplement automation improvements and workflow enhancementsMaintain documentation and robot program backupsParticipate in continuous improvement and lean initiativesFollow safety and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required2-5 years of injection molding automation experienceHands-on experience programming and troubleshooting robotsUnderstanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial sensorsAbility to read electrical and mechanical schematicsExperience with EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) preferredStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsTechnical certification or associate degree in robotics, mechatronics, or automation preferred
