WOOD MOULDER OPERATOR
to join their team. We are looking for a
HIGHLY MOTIVATED, DETAILED ORIENTED
moulder operator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who either has experience in wood working or if you bring a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to grow, we will train you on everything you need to know.
POSITION SUMMARY
The moulder operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring the wood moulding machine to produce high quality wood moulding products according to customer specifications. This position ensures machinery is properly adjusted, moulding knives are correctly installed, and finished products meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate wood moulding machines according to production schedules and specifications. Install, align, and adjust moulder heads and knives for proper cutting profiles. Verify moulder knives are sharp and report damaged or worn knives for sharpening or replacement. Inspect lumber for defects and ensure proper material is used for production. Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy. Measure finished products using calipers, tape measures, and profile gauges to ensure specifications are met. Perform quality inspections throughout production and document inspection results. Identity and correct issues such as tear outs, chatter marks, snipes, or dimensional inconsistencies. Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on moulding machine. Lubricant machine and notify maintenance of mechanical issues requiring repair. Remove wood waste and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work closely with maintenance, quality control, and supervisors to maximize productivity. Wear all required personal protective equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
One to three years of experience operating wood moulding machinery preferred. Ability to read production orders, shop drawings, and profile specifications. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely use measuring devices and inspection tools. Able to work in a religious environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
