Description:

A plastics processing machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines that produce plastic products. They ensure that the machines are running smoothly, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and perform quality checks on the finished products. This profession requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor plastics processing machines to produce high-quality product. Set up machines and adjust settings to ensure efficient and safe production Inspect and troubleshoot machines and equipment to prevent malfunctions and downtime Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment Record production data and maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced

Requirements:

Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. General knowledge of different types of plastics materials and their properties. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimize downtime. Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks. Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards in production. Adherence to safety protocols and regulations in the workplace. Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime to meet production demands.
