The Maintenance Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by coordinating maintenance activities that ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. This role plans and performs maintenance work, collaborates with production and engineering teams, and supports continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and improve equipment performance. Through technical expertise and effective coordination, the Maintenance Coordinator contributes directly to safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, equivalent education, or demonstrated combination of education, technical training, and progressively responsible maintenance experience.
Ability to safely work within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to obtain equipment certifications required for assigned duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical education, apprenticeship, military training, or postsecondary coursework related to industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, industrial technology, or a related field.
Certifications related to industrial maintenance, electrical systems, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, automation, or predictive maintenance.
Forklift, aerial lift, rigging, or other industrial equipment certifications.
Required Experience:
Progressive experience maintaining industrial equipment within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or automated manufacturing equipment.
Experience planning and prioritizing maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
Experience working collaboratively with production and engineering to resolve equipment issues.
Demonstrated experience promoting safe maintenance practices and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Experience:
Experience supporting composite manufacturing, industrial fabrication, aerospace, automotive, or related manufacturing operations.
Experience coordinating maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, or contractor activities.
Experience supporting facility startups, equipment installations, or capital improvement projects.
Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and manufacturing uptime.
Prioritize maintenance resources based on operational needs, equipment criticality, and production requirements.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions that minimize operational disruption.
Coordinate maintenance projects, contractor activities, and equipment installations while ensuring safe execution and regulatory compliance.
Partner with Production, Engineering, Materials, and Safety to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and operational performance.
Maintain maintenance documentation, equipment records, and preventive maintenance schedules that support effective asset management.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance processes through continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote safe work practices and ensure maintenance activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Certifications Valid driver's license if required for company operations. Forklift Experience Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify, report, and assist in correcting unsafe conditions and equipment hazards. Safely operate maintenance tools, testing equipment, and machinery. Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and 5S/6S standards. Work in industrial manufacturing environments with exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, noise, dust, heat, vibration, and varying temperatures.
Pay:
From $28.00 per hour
