BUSINESS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Job Description

The Harrison Group team of Manufacturing Recruiters is partnering with a greater Cleveland manufacturer to help them bring on a Business Operations Specialist. This role involves collaborating with various functional leaders to ensure operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and a track record of driving improvements in safety, quality, and manufacturing technology while meeting annual goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate commitment to the client's values and uphold their commitment to quality products and processes. Collaborate with the business unit team to contribute to establishing the company's strategic direction. Effectively communicate plan attainment information and schedule requirements through various channels. Collaborate with teams to proactively find solutions to issues affecting operational performance. Perform general troubleshooting of systems related to variances and exceptions found in daily activities. Resolve issues promptly to ensure operational continuity. Provide timely updates to Sales and Customer Service teams regarding order status and progress against build plans. Plan jobs for each customer order, considering material, equipment, capacity, and other constraints. Create and manage a constrained Production Schedule using the ERP system and professional judgment. Sequence job orders, expedite as necessary, and resolve issues to meet customer requirements and operational goals. Provide regular updates on operational load, capacity, and manufacturing lead time to relevant cross-functional teams. Complete required reports within established timelines and participate in scheduled business update presentations
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations, preferably in manufacturing. Proficiency in utilizing an ERP system for essential functions. Experience in cross-functional team collaboration and continuous improvement activities. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Strong data analysis capabilities
