We design, build, operate, and maintain hydrogen production systems using water electrolysis technology, providing safe and reliable hydrogen solutions for transportation and industrial customers. We are looking for a reliable, safety-oriented, and self-motivated Hydrogen Plant Operator to join our operations team at our hydrogen production facility in Fresno, California. Position Summary The Hydrogen Plant Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the hydrogen production facility, including hydrogen production, compression, storage, loading, customer support, routine inspections, and basic maintenance activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of the facility while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and customer service. This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive Position . Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlant Operations
Operate, monitor, and control all hydrogen production equipment in accordance with Company operating procedures.
Perform plant start-up, shutdown, and routine operational adjustments.
Monitor plant performance using SCADA systems, instrumentation, and field inspections.
Respond promptly to alarms, process deviations, and abnormal operating conditions.
Ensure continuous, safe, and efficient hydrogen production. Hydrogen Loading & Customer Service
Safely load hydrogen into customer trailers and vehicles.
Verify customer documentation before loading operations.
Coordinate customer loading activities while maintaining all applicable safety procedures.
Provide professional customer service during product loading operations. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance
Perform routine inspections of compressors, storage systems, piping, valves, instrumentation, and production equipment.
Troubleshoot field devices including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instrumentation.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.
Identify equipment deficiencies and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel or contractors.
Collect process samples and operational data as required. Safety & Compliance
Maintain full compliance with OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, NFPA 2 (Hydrogen Technologies Code), Company Hydrogen Safety Plan, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Follow all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment failures, incidents, near misses, or environmental concerns.
Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Documentation & Reporting
Complete daily operating reports and production logs.
Maintain inspection records and maintenance documentation.
Record production data and operational parameters accurately.
Communicate operational issues promptly to supervisors.
Assist with inventory and operational reporting as required. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical or Trade School education preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in industrial plant operations, manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial gases, utilities, renewable energy, oil & gas, power generation, or similar industrial environments preferred.
Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to understand process equipment and industrial operating procedures.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.
Valid California Driver's License.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:
Hydrogen production facilities
Industrial gas operations
Electrolysis systems
High-pressure gas systems
Compressors
PLC or SCADA systems
Process plant operations
Industrial maintenance Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work around high-pressure equipment and industrial machinery.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
Ability to wear all required PPE, including flame-resistant clothing, hard hats, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and respiratory protection when required.

The ability to safely perform all essential job functions at all times is an essential requirement of this position.
