ASPHALT PLANT OPERATOR C.W.
Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. Our company is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator for our local operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor computerized control systems for both drum and batch asphalt plants to ensure efficient production and compliance with mix specifications Safely operate asphalt plant equipment and processes while maintaining a safe work environment for employees, contractors, and truck drivers delivering or receiving materials Continuously monitor plant operations, equipment performance, and material flow throughout production to identify and address operational issues promptly Perform routine plant inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to help ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimize downtime Assist the Plant Foreman with daily operational activities, including ordering liquid asphalt, aggregates, plant supplies, repair parts, and transportation services Assist with maintaining accurate production records, inventory reports, material usage documentation, and other required operational records Support plant operations by performing a variety of tasks, including monitoring cold feed systems, operating loaders and dozers around stockpiles and bins, and assisting with material handling activities Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant facility, including the control room, office areas, equipment, and grounds Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and report safety concerns, equipment deficiencies, or maintenance needs to supervision Adhere to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operational procedures at all times Work collaboratively with plant personnel, truck drivers, quality control staff, and field operations to ensure production goals and customer requirements are met Review and process customer payments for asphalt purchases, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions, while maintaining accurate records and following company accounting procedures Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
One plus years of experience required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be willing to obtain training/certifications as required/needed Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license Employer conducts drug testing and background check We offer competitive salaries and fringe benefits.
