Ideal candidates bring a strong technical foundation in environmental and HAZMAT response equipment along with proven leadership experience supervising field teams. Attention to detail, timely recordkeeping, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced emergency response environment are essential. Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and deploying EPA emergency response environmental air monitoring equipment and other assets. Ensure all equipment is operable, in good repair, and ready for immediate deployment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Oversee scheduling, quality control, and documentation of calibration, repair, and maintenance activities, including logbook and inventory system records Serve as the primary point of contact between field staff and EPA personnel on project status, equipment readiness, and operational needs Assist in developing and conduct of emergency planning, natural disaster, and other emergency response drills and exercises. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations by enforcing OSHA standards and federal safety protocols on-site. Oversee the procurement of materials using HeavyBid or similar tools while maintaining project schedules and budgets. Lead quality control initiatives through regular inspections and documentation to uphold high standards throughout the project lifecycle. Experience 3-5 years of experience in environmental, HAZMAT, or emergency response equipment operations, including experience supervising or leading a field team. Working knowledge of HAZMAT response equipment, air monitoring instrumentation, and related environmental response assets. Experience coordinating maintenance, calibration, and deployment-readiness activities across a team or project. Excellent managerial communication skills for coordinating between diverse teams including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations along with a solid understanding of OSHA compliance requirements.
