  • The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the batch plant, ensuring the production of high-quality concrete or asphalt mixes according to specifications. This role involves monitoring equipment, adjusting controls, and maintaining detailed production records for Heidelberg Materials NE LLC. Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor all batch plant equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, mixers, and aggregate bins, to produce various concrete or asphalt mixes.
  • Accurately weigh and proportion raw materials (aggregates, cement, water, admixtures, asphalt binder) according to mix designs and production schedules.
  • Perform routine inspections of plant machinery and components, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Calibrate and adjust plant controls to ensure precise material proportions and consistent product quality.
  • Maintain accurate daily production records, including material usage, batch weights, and finished product quantities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform minor maintenance and lubrication on plant equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with truck drivers, quality control personnel, and supervisors regarding production schedules and material requirements. Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. .
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of aggregate properties, cement types, and admixture functions is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as required by production demands.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
