The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services is looking for an experienced, hands-on Utility Plant Operator 2 at Warren State Hospital. If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, making repairs, and keeping complex mechanical systems operating safely and efficiently, this could be a great next move. What You'll Do This is skilled mechanical work in a modern high-pressure boiler plant. You'll work independently with minimal supervision while operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers and related plant equipment.
Your work will include:
Operating high-pressure fire tube and water tube boilers
Monitoring gauges, digital displays, and computerized control systems
Inspecting and maintaining pumps, motors, boilers, and auxiliary equipment
Diagnosing equipment problems and making repairs or adjustments
Performing preventive maintenance
Testing and treating boiler system water

You need:
One year of semi-skilled experience operating, maintaining, or repairing industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes at least six months of this semi-skilled experience. Good to Know The Pennsylvania residency requirement is currently waived for this position.
Full-time, second shift
Hours:
4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Rotating schedule, including every other weekend
