This position is responsible for preparing digital artwork for production, operating wide-format printing equipment, ensuring accurate color and print quality, and completing jobs according to customer specifications and production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands digital prepress and color management, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced print production environment. Key Responsibilities Review customer artwork and production files for accuracy, resolution, dimensions, bleeds, cut lines, fonts, and color requirements. Prepare and preflight files for wide-format digital printing. Set up and operate wide-format printers, including UV, latex, solvent, eco-solvent, or similar printing technologies. Manage RIP software and configure files for proper media, ink, resolution, color profiles, and print settings. Perform color corrections and basic image adjustments as needed. Maintain consistent color and print quality throughout production runs. Load and unload various substrates, including vinyl, banner material, fabric, paper, rigid boards, and specialty media. Monitor print jobs for quality issues such as banding, color shifts, registration problems, ink coverage, and media defects. Perform routine printer maintenance, including cleaning printheads, changing consumables, and troubleshooting basic equipment issues. Verify finished prints against work orders and customer specifications. Communicate with production, design, sales, and finishing teams to resolve artwork or production issues. Maintain accurate production records and follow established workflow procedures. Assist with trimming, mounting, laminating, cutting, and other finishing processes when needed. Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe. Meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards for accuracy and quality. Qualifications Previous experience in a commercial print, sign, graphics, or wide-format production environment preferred. Experience operating wide-format digital printers and RIP software. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat . Understanding of CMYK, RGB, spot colors, ICC profiles, resolution, bleed, scaling, and color management. Strong file-preparation and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify production errors before printing. Ability to read and follow work orders and production specifications. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple jobs in a deadline-driven environment. Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely lift and move rolls of media and rigid substrates as required. Experience with HP, EFI, Roland, Mimaki, Canon, Epson, or similar wide-format equipment. Experience with RIP software such as Onyx, Caldera, Fiery, VersaWorks, or equivalent. Experience with large-format signage, banners, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, displays, or other printed graphics. Knowledge of vinyl cutting, laminating, mounting, and finishing equipment.
