This is a hands-on technical and production role for someone with strong experience operating and maintaining 3D printers and an interest in taking products from prototype development through finished production. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and management to develop, produce, assemble, and improve simulation models used for medical training. What You'll Do Program, set up, operate, and maintain various 3D printers for prototype and production work. Prepare and process 3D print jobs, including setup, cleaning, finishing, and post-processing of printed parts. Use modeling software to modify and prepare models for production. Support prototype development and help transition designs into finished products. Assemble components and systems according to technical specifications and work instructions. Operate CNC equipment when needed; CNC programming and operating experience is preferred but not required. Operate vacuum-forming equipment and assist with molding and assembly of simulation models. Safely use hand tools, saws, drills, and other powered equipment. Perform quality-control checks on completed parts and finished products. Troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues and perform routine equipment maintenance. Manage and track materials and production supplies. Work with engineers and management to understand technical requirements and recommend practical solutions. Assist with training and supporting other team members as needed. Help in other production areas when required as part of a small, collaborative manufacturing team. Occasionally travel to medical conferences or workshops to assist with product demonstrations and simulation activities. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications At least 3 years of hands-on experience operating 3D printers in a manufacturing, engineering, prototyping, or production environment . Experience preparing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining 3D printing equipment. Ability to interpret technical concepts, specifications, drawings, or work instructions. Experience with 3D modeling or related software used to prepare or modify models. Comfortable performing hands-on assembly, fabrication, and production work. Experience using hand and power tools safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering and production teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work full-time on-site in Bolton, Massachusetts. Willingness to travel occasionally for medical conferences or workshops. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on 3D printing experience. CNC programming or machine-operation experience. Experience with vacuum forming. Experience with prototyping, additive manufacturing, model making, or product development. Experience with molding, fabrication, plastics, composites, silicone, or similar materials. Experience taking a product from prototype through production. Quality inspection or precision-measurement experience. Previous experience training or supporting other technicians. Manufacturing team leadership or supervisory experience. Experience in medical devices, life sciences, precision manufacturing, or another technical manufacturing environment. Location and Relocation This position is based full-time on-site in Bolton, Massachusetts . Candidates from surrounding communities or other locations are welcome to apply if they can reliably commute or are willing to relocate.
