Operator Technician Job SummaryWe are seeking an Operator Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Silver Spring, MD. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, technically minded candidate who enjoys hands-on production work in a scientific or medical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load pathology slides from customer storage into designated baskets and prepare them for digitization
• Unload slides after scanning and return them accurately to customer storage locations
• Review scanned slide images flagged for manual quality review and determine whether rescanning is needed
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate scanning instruments according to established schedules and procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment errors or scanning issues and escalate concerns when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, instrument issues, maintenance activity, and quality review results.

• Pay rate: $18 to $20 per hour

  Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Required Qualifications and Skills
• High school diploma required.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical, laboratory, pathology, healthcare, manufacturing, or technical production environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
• Aptitude for operating medical or scientific instruments.
• Strong computer skills and comfort working with digital systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with local and offshore team members.
• Self-starter with the ability to stay organized and productive during assigned shifts.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes in a regulated, medical, scientific, or technical production environment.
