Currently, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prepress Technician to join our manufacturing team at our Kenosha, Wisconsin headquarters. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing digital files, press proofs, and printing plates to ensure flawless production runs across various print mediums. Your expertise will help maintain high-quality standards in flexographic and lithographic print production processes for packaging manufacturing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge prepress software, color management systems, and advanced printing machinery in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Responsibilities Prepare digital files using industry-standard prepress software, ensuring accuracy and color fidelity for all print projects Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and graphic design principles to support print layout accuracy Manage color calibration and color management processes to meet strict quality standards in production Generate a PDF File for all items and send to customers requesting Soft Proofs. Print out the PDF for Proofreading. Rip files through Esko Automation Engine Workflow to generate normalized PDF files for proofing and plate making. Generate fullforms for platemaking using Stepped Die from CAD. Send Stepped Fullform to Javelin for Plates and process plates from sent fullform. Ensure compliance with safety standards in production by following proper procedures and maintaining a clean work environment Other Job Responsibilities Attention to matters of cleanliness, neatness and organization, including seeing that the department is in the best possible condition at all times.
