Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift Press Brake Operator Requirements Set up and operate sheet metal equipment to fabricate products according to engineering drawings and specified parameters. Load and unload material by selecting and changing the required tooling and machine programs. Maximize machine uptime and overall productivity. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with safety requirements. Operate the fabricator and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions. Maximize material utilization by applying nesting techniques and client tooling. Ensure manufactured parts meet engineering specifications. Work from blueprints, engineering parameters, and production schedules. Skills Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.). Basic computer knowledge.
